Zero Flare

CORC took the initiative to stop routine gas flaring through the installation of a Flare Gas Recovery Unit (FGRU), and became the first company in the downstream sector to take such action.
Since its successful start-up in 2022, the project achieved massive targets through: saving of 30% of NG needed for our fired heaters via recovery of fuel gas, maximization of LPG production, and reduction of Carbon emissions (CO2 equivalent) by 85 kTA, with a pay-back period that is less than 2 years.
We considered the latest technology in process control of our FGRU, taking the advantages of our human capital to do all civil works, mechanical completion, and construction activities needed for the project.
